NOTE: The sitter, Helen Adele Fleck was born in Philadelphia and met fellow art-student Leopold Seyffert at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1906. They married in 1911. Helen continued her career as a painter, but also was the model for at least five works by Seyffert. |
