DAVID OLENICK

David Olenick was raised on Long Island where he began painting at the age of fifteen. He moved to New York City in 1967 to pursue an education in film at New York University. He had his first solo exhibition in 1969 at the age of twenty-two.

After a second exhibition in 1970, he began to pursue other interests, first as a museum administrator and subsequently as a corporate curator, the vice-president of an architectural design firm and as a private art dealer. In recent years he has specialized in the sale of Asian and African artifacts.

After a thirty year hiatus, David Olenick started painting again in 2000. Franklin Riehlman Fine Art was very happy to present two very successful solo exhibitions of his work in 2004 and in 2007.
